Boarding

Our boarding kennels are located in Tuusula, between Kerava and Järvenpää. The distance to Helsinki is 35 km and the airport is only half an hour away. Despite this central location, the boarding kennels enjoys a very peaceful and beautiful environment in the middle of a large forest.
The boarding kennels were built in 1989, and since then have been continually improved and developed. We have renovated the buildings and created new fenced areas next to the boarding kennels. In addition, the forest is surrounded by a fence, and some dogs can enjoy greater freedom under supervision.

We can take care of 32 dogs at any one time, but 10 of the vacancies are reserved for stray dogs. They come to us from Kerava, Järvenpää, Tuusula and Vantaa. We also have facilities for a few boarding cats.

Since the buildings were designed specifically for dog boarding, they are very comfortable and safe for this purpose. Each and every dog has its own spacious warm kennel with a free exit to a private run. The exit opening has a double flap to keep out the cold air. There are solid walls inside the building as well as between the outdoor runs. This keeps the dogs from barking at one another and helps even the more timid dogs feel safe. In the big runs dogs may play with each other if they are well-suited and , of course, as long as we have the owner’s permission. Those, who can´t or don´t want to use the big runs, are taken on regular walks on a leash.

Our staff are professionals, who have a firm knowledge of canine sign language, training and health issues. This is why we can deal even with "problem cases" and can take care of medicine and other treatments when necessary. In addition, we have access to veterinary services at all times. Our own home is right next to the boarding kennels, so staff members are available all day and night.

The boarding dog is allocated his own sleeping carpet, as well as toys for chewing and playing. We feed the dogs with the same food that they are used to at home. All these details can be discussed when making a reservation.
